MedInfrastructure is one of the 4 divisions of Santé Services, and also one of the oldest. MedInfrastructure handles rental management, as well as the management and strategy for all the parking facilities at the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman intended for patients and employees. Its main mission is to ensure the optimisation of flow management and a service for the provision of means of access, on the basis of various collaborations including the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman Foundation (FHRS), owner of the facilities, the Security department, the IT department, the reception departments and the Technical department of the HRS. Its primary objective is to satisfy its users, through the creation of personal services, and by ensuring the operational continuity of the car park facilities and equipment.

The parking team forms part of the Santé Service and collaborates with the Fondation des Hôpitaux Robert Schuman (FHRS), owner of the car park facilities, in order to provide an operational, consistent and optimised service to the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman (HRS) and its users.

The MedInfrastructure team consists of 4 employees who are responsible for the management of the three sites (Hôpital Kirchberg / Clinique Bohler, ZithaKlinik and Clinique Sainte-Marie). The team monitors the availability of HRS parking spaces and manages access to 3 external sites (Indigo / Elysis / The Box). Presence is guaranteed at each site in order to ensure availability and responsiveness.

Little racing cars

Since 5 October 2020 at the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman (HRS), children have been arriving at the operating theatre or the X-ray department at the wheel of their own little racing car. A means of transportation that makes the operation or examination less alarming and reduces anxiety for both the children and their parents. A first in Luxembourg!
MedInfrastructure has overseen the logistics of the project: ensuring the safety of young patients, implementation of a signposting system to indicate the route to the operating theatre, without forgetting to include a Carwash area to make sure that the little racing cars are sparkling clean and comply with health requirements.

Carwash

In addition to the department’s initial missions, MedInfrastructure worked in partnership with the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman in 2020 to develop a Carwash service in the parkings of the Hôpital Kirchberg and the ZithaKlinik.
As part of a continuous improvement process and in order to meet the safety and disinfection standards imposed by the current health crisis, Carwash also offers a vehicle disinfection or decontamination service. The company has all the legal authorisations and certified products necessary for all its activities (seasonal tyre changes, vehicle registration service, M.O.T., etc.). All these services can be carried out during employee on-site and working hours at the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman.

In 2019, following a change of partner, Clinique Sainte-Marie (HRS) benefited from the installation of new car park equipment by ADBLuxm:

New equipment for the ZithaKlinik

In 2019, following a change of partner, ZithaKlinik (HRS) benefited from the installation of new car park equipment by ADBLuxm:

• Change in visitor and registered users car park equipment
• Installation of a vehicle registration plate recognition plate, flow management
• Change of automatic payment machines
• Opening of Ebau car park
• Change of intercom system
• Compliance of equipment with fire safety rules

ParkEyes guidance and signalling system

In 2020 the installation of the ParkEyes guidance and signalling system at the ZithaKlinik and Hôpital Kirchberg sites began with a view to improving fluidity, visibility and modernisation. This project is still ongoing and includes the installation of a vehicle registration recognition system in the Hôpital Kirchberg car park, as well as a project to adapt the geometry of the hospital’s facilities (addition of signage, kiosks, cashless payment machines).

Future project: development of car park services for the future psychiatry wing at the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman

The Hôpitaux Robert Schuman are currently working on the construction of a new wing for their psychiatry division, which will be accommodated in a fifteen-storey tower. MedInfrastructure has been mandated to design parking solutions for this new building.

Future project: a new look for the HRS car parks

MedInfrastructure also has a project to restore and update the various Hôpitaux Robert Schuman car parks, and the one at Hôpital Kirchberg in particular. This involves creating colour-coded zones, refreshing paintwork, creating new icons, etc.
